Our Practice
William H. Holmes, O.D. Dr. William (Bill) Holmes grew up in Springfield, the
youngest of four children. He attended undergraduate and
graduate school at the University of Kansas, obtaining Bachelor
and Masters degrees in education. After several years of teaching
and coaching in the area, Dr. Holmes enrolled in the University of
Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, where he was a member
of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and graduated with his
Doctorate in Optometry in 1994. He founded Chesterfield
EyeWorks in 1999, which has been located in its new building on
S. Enterprise since December of 2006. Dr. Holmes is a member of
the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric
Association and the Greater Ozarks Optometric Society. Dr.
Holmes and his wife, Linda, live in Springfield and have three
children and three grandchildren.
